JANUARY

MARCH
March 1 – 2, and 15 – 16 - Whales, Whales, and Baby Whales! Visit the Point Cabrillo Light Station any time during March for an unbelievable “ocean-side Whale Watching seat”. Each festival weekend features free bird watching and history tours at the Light Station, and fun events (in both communities) for adults and children of all ages. MAY
May 3 – 4 – Mendocino Historic Preservation Days & Lighthouse Lantern Room Tours – Free guided walks throughout Mendocino and the Light Station to celebrate the history and people of Mendocino.

May 29th – June 1 – Mendocino Film Festival – Great weekend of watching current films in Mendocino Village. Join us at the Lighthouse Inn, which is only 5 minutes away from all festival activities.
JUNE
June 7 – 8 – “Lighting of the Light” Celebration – Join us at the Light Station for the celebration of the Lighting of the Point Cabrillo Light in 1909 (99 years ago).

DECEMBER
Light the Lighthouse, Sunday, December 7th, 4 – 6PM. Make a donation for a light to “Light up the Lighthouse”. A fundraising and holiday event at the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse. Hot cinder and chocolate with Santa in the Lighthouse.
